The Handbook of Iowa State College was published by the Publicity Department and was presented to all freshmen students by the Y.M.C.A. and Y.W.C.A.
Edwin L. Losey was the Editor.
Mary Morrison Beyer was the Associate Editor.
Herbert Fritz was the Business Manager.
The person who relies on dress to make him or herself appear worthy of notice should select some other college. Men are levelled by the woolen shirt to the same plane, here at Ames, much the same as they were in the army.
Wear the official freshman cap from the first day of school year up to and including Veishea. The cap shall be worn from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day except Sunday.
College convocations are held in the Gymnasium at 11 o'clock, as a rule. It is a college tradition that every one shall stay until the exercises are over, and not rush for the door during the middle of the last song.
Freshman rule number 2 - Be able to sing or recite from memory every Iowa State song published on pages 102 to 105 from the Handbook issued by the Y.M.C.A. and Y.W.C.A. Attend the bonfire the opening week and learn the songs.
