This 1885 stereograph taken by Martin Morrison shows downtown Ames from the viewpoint of Boone Street (later Lincoln Way) between Kellogg and Washington.  The elevator can be seen behind the train north of the tracks.  The 1865 depot is visible as the only structure south of the tracks.  On the back of the stereograph the sleigh riders are identified as Mrs. Taylor and her daughter Ruby who married Willis Rich.
