ORGAN DONORS ARE REVEALED

Gift to Iowa State From Californians.

AMES, IA. - Dedicatory ceremonies at the Iowa State College Memorial Union revealed Wednesday evening that W.T. Wells and W.G. Lane of Los Angeles, Cal., are the donors of the $18,000 pipe organ presented to the school.
 
The organ, located in the Great Hall, this considered one of the finest in the Midwest.
 
The organ can be shifted about on the stage of Great Hall which, college officials say, is especially suited acoustically for the instrument.
Organ broadcasts are to be a regular feature over WOI, the college radio station, and the organ will be used for student gatherings, dances and religious ceremonies.

The first solo on the organ was played by Frederick Fuller, director of music for the University of Wisconsin radio station, and he will play over W O I Thursday afternoon following the inaugural ceremonies for President C. E. Friley of Iowa State.
 

$18,000 Organ Gift to Iowa State

Standing by the new $18,000 pipe organ (above), donated to Iowa State College at Ames, Ia., by W.B. Lane and W.T. Wells both of Los Angeles, Cal., is Tolbert McRae, head of the music department while Frederick Fuller, University of Wisconsin music director, is seated at the console.
