This photo is from the 1915 time capsule from the old Municipal Building.  It shows the newly built Ames High School building on the east side of Clark Avenue.  Later, the building was expanded on south and north ends, making the end classrooms about 8 to 10 feet longer than they were when this photo taken. This building was razed in 1981.

The old original brick Ames High School building is shown here in July, 1937, being torn down to make way for the new Ames High School. Excavation for the basement of the new building has begun in the foreground. (Farwell T. Brown Photographic Archive)
