The Throckmorton family, Adel, Mrs. Ada Throckmorton and E.M. Throckmorton stand in front of their family enterprise – Scotty’s Chicken Inn, at 3417 West Lincoln Way.  This family enterprise helps to make customers come back again and again for those wonderful chicken, steak, barbequed rib and sea food dinners.  And the home-made pies and famous roast beef dinners don't hurt any either.

The Throckmorton family is shown at work inside Scotty's.  The 100-seat restaurant recently had air-conditioning installed for customer comfort.  In addition to the food served at their 3417 Lincoln Way site, they also prepare orders to take out. Adel Throckmorton was known as the singing waiter.

E. M. Throckmorton, who's owned Scotty's for 15 years, including five years at a site across the street, poses with a chunk of roast beef in the clean kitchen where the food is prepared.

The Green Man Inn followed The Chicken Inn at 3417 Lincoln Way in 1965.
