Menu-ette Grand Opening

The Menu-ette Café at 524 Lincoln Way was operated by Kenneth Goodell and offered 24-hour service.  This photo looks west.  The house in the background obscures a view of the Ames High School Fieldhouse. Grand Opening Monday, Dec. 6th.  FREE Coffee served all Day Monday!  Menu-ette will feature special 65¢ dinners, sandwiches, soups and chili, breakfast specials.  24 hour service!  On Lincoln Way, just west of Lloyd Motor.

This photo from June of 1957 shows the Ames Dairy Creme, which replaced the Menu-ette at 524 Lincoln Way. The Ames High School Fieldhouse is visible at right in this picture which faces southwest.
