This photo looks southwest along the Fort Dodge & Southern Interurban tracks. The house visible behind the horses pulling the All College float is located on Lincoln Way at the Lynn Avenue corner (where Campus Bookstore now stands).  The Edwards Coal warehouse is visible in the right background.

In 1926, the intersection of Lynn Avenue, Morrill Road and Lincoln Way was unusual because of the interurban track which also crossed at this same area.  This photo from about 1925 shows the same intersection from the south.  Lynn Avenue is at the left; Lincoln Way and the railroad tracks cross the photo in the center.  Lake LaVerne and the top of Beardshear Hall are just visible behind the trees.  The brick Veterinary building seen below the campanile was replaced by the Memorial Union in 1926.  Morrill Road would eventually (1963) be straightened to meet Lynn Avenue as it does today.
