Cecil and Lorraine Jones operated the Silver Spur until about 1962, when the name was changed to Captain's Club Tavern.   After 1964, The lounge was renamed the Beach House until about 1969.  Cecil and Lorraine's son, Larry Dean, also worked with them through most of these years.  Cecil built Trailer Acres (later Marvin's Mobile Manor) on South Duff and later owned one half interest in the Red Barn Supper Club.  Cecil's brother Bob built the Tip-Top and lived next door to that restaurant.

This portion of the 1947 Sanborn Insurance Map
shows the location of the Silver Spur at 119 Kellogg.
