Main Street at Christmas Time

A time-lapse photo at the west end of Main Street captures a snowy night scene in downtown Ames.  The Collegian Theater is playing Untamed Frontier, starring Shelley Winters, Joseph Cotton, and Fess Parker.  Beyond the theater can be seen the Wayside Inn Cafe and the DX Service Station.  To the right beyond the Montgomery Ward Farm Store is Hoversten Furniture and Roberson's Auto Parts.  Next, on the corner, the sign indicating Stromberg's Bowling Alley above Mabel Lane Restaurant can be seen.
