Mr. and Mrs. P.H. O'Neil, 108 Sixth St., were informed by wire yesterday p.m. of the death of their second son Lt. James Joseph O'Neil near Riverside, Cal.

The wire read as follows:
I regret to inform you that your son Lt. James Joseph O'Neil, was killed in an airplane accident 34 miles south of Riverside, California at 4:28 p.m. June 14, 1945.  Remains are now at the Stone Mortuary, Upland, Cal.

My deepest sympathy is extended to you and members of the deceased family at this time.

The body will be sent to Ames and funeral arrangements will be made after more definite information has been received.  Services will be held at the St. Cecilia's Catholic Church...
